Located on Ivy Road in Charlottesville, Virginia, the UVA Orthopedics Center is a LEED Silver-certified facility where patients can receive diagnostics, surgery, and holistic healthcare services. Opened in 2022 following 10 years of patient-focused planning, the University of Virginia facility stands among the largest outpatient centers in the United States. Under the guidance of director A. Bobby Chhabra, MD, the UVA Orthopedic Center provides a wide range of services, including treatment for orthopedic trauma, joint replacements and both prosthetics and orthotics. Patients receive comprehensive diagnostics and physical therapy support. In the future, the center will feature an on-site pharmacy.
In addition to managing activities at the center, Dr. Bobby Chhabra functions in a number of additional roles at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. He serves as the Lillian T. Pratt Distinguished Professor, David A. Harrison Distinguished Educator, and chair of the orthopedic surgery department.
